I’m not sure if I’m doing the right thing in splitting my site between a normal CMS (::wikipedia(”Content Management System”)::) and a blog, but it’s not unheard of on the web (meaning: quite common ;-)).
The advantage is full wordpress Blog functionality (with trackbacks and pingbacks), and no hassle with integrating a blog component in Joomla - which is still a somewhat weak point of this otherwise extraordinary CMS.
On the other hand, I have two places to store my thoughts, which is not actually what you should do, according to modern data management strategies. But, as the about page explicates, one thing is very good about this approach: I can write down my thoughts rather loosely as they come in this blog, and, as they get structure through rethinking and revision of writing, I’ll transfer them to the CMS. Which will then bristle with bullet-proof theories ![]()
